Then they brought to him a demoniac who was blind and mute; and he cured him, so that the one who had been mute could speak and see.

He knew what they were thinking and said to them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will stand.

The people of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, because they repented at the proclamation of Jonah, and see, something greater than Jonah is here!

Then it goes and brings along seven other spirits more evil than itself, and they enter and live there; and the last state of that person is worse than the first. So will it be also with this evil generation."

Other seeds fell on rocky ground, where they did not have much soil, and they sprang up quickly, since they had no depth of soil.

But when the sun rose, they were scorched; and since they had no root, they withered away.

For to those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.

The reason I speak to them in parables is that ‘seeing they do not perceive, and hearing they do not listen, nor do they understand.'

But blessed are your eyes, for they see, and your ears, for they hear.

The Son of Man will send his angels, and they will collect out of his kingdom all causes of sin and all evildoers,

and they will throw them into the furnace of fire, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

when it was full, they drew it ashore, sat down, and put the good into baskets but threw out the bad.

He came to his hometown and began to teach the people in their synagogue, so that they were astounded and said, "Where did this man get this wisdom and these deeds of power?

And they took offense at him. But Jesus said to them, "Prophets are not without honor except in their own country and in their own house."

His disciples came and took the body and buried it; then they went and told Jesus.

When it was evening, the disciples came to him and said, "This is a deserted place, and the hour is now late; send the crowds away so that they may go into the villages and buy food for themselves."

They replied, "We have nothing here but five loaves and two fish."

And all ate and were filled; and they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve baskets full.

But when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were terrified, saying, "It is a ghost!" And they cried out in fear.
