Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see ‘the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven' with power and great glory.

And he will send out his angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.

For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day Noah entered the ark,

and they knew nothing until the flood came and swept them all away, so too will be the coming of the Son of Man.

And while they went to buy it, the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went with him into the wedding banquet; and the door was shut.

For to all those who have, more will be given, and they will have an abundance; but from those who have nothing, even what they have will be taken away.

Then they also will answer, ‘Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and did not take care of you?'

and they conspired to arrest Jesus by stealth and kill him.

But when the disciples saw it, they were angry and said, "Why this waste?

and said, "What will you give me if I betray him to you?" They paid him thirty pieces of silver.

So the disciples did as Jesus had directed them, and they prepared the Passover meal.

and while they were eating, he said, "Truly I tell you, one of you will betray me."

And they became greatly distressed and began to say to him one after another, "Surely not I, Lord?"

While they were eating, Jesus took a loaf of bread, and after blessing it he broke it, gave it to the disciples, and said, "Take, eat; this is my body."

Jesus said to him, "Friend, do what you are here to do." Then they came and laid hands on Jesus and arrested him.

Now the chief priests and the whole council were looking for false testimony against Jesus so that they might put him to death,

The high priest stood up and said, "Have you no answer? What is it that they testify against you?"

Then they spat in his face and struck him; and some slapped him,

They bound him, led him away, and handed him over to Pilate the governor.

Then was fulfilled what had been spoken through the prophet Jeremiah, "And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of the one on whom a price had been set, on whom some of the people of Israel had set a price,
