they brought the ass and the colt, and put their garments on them, and he sat thereon.

But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, "Hosanna to the Son of David!" they were indignant;

and they said to him, "Do you hear what these are saying?" And Jesus said to them, "Yes; have you never read, 'Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast brought perfect praise'?"

The baptism of John, whence was it? From heaven or from men?" And they argued with one another, "If we say, 'From heaven,' he will say to us, 'Why then did you not believe him?'

So they answered Jesus, "We do not know." And he said to them, "Neither will I tell you by what authority I do these things.

Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly, I say to you, the tax collectors and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.

Again he sent other servants, more than the first; and they did the same to them.

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, 'This is the heir; come, let us kill him and have his inheritance.'

And they took him and cast him out of the vineyard, and killed him.

They said to him, "He will put those wretches to a miserable death, and let out the vineyard to other tenants who will give him the fruits in their seasons."

When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he was speaking about them.

and sent his servants to call those who were invited to the marriage feast; but they would not come.

But they made light of it and went off, one to his farm, another to his business,

And those servants went out into the streets and gathered all whom they found, both bad and good; so the wedding hall was filled with guests.

And they sent their disciples to him, along with the Hero'di-ans, saying, "Teacher, we know that you are true, and teach the way of God truthfully, and care for no man; for you do not regard the position of men.

Show me the money for the tax." And they brought him a coin.

They said, "Caesar's." Then he said to them, "Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar's, and to God the things that are God's."

When they heard it, they marveled; and they left him and went away.

The same day Sad'ducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him a question,

And when the crowd heard it, they were astonished at his teaching.
