So Moses went down from the mountain to the people and set the people apart as holy, and they washed their garments.

And Moses brought the people out of the camp to meet God, and they stood at the foot of the mountain.

Then Yahweh spoke to Moses, "Go down, warn the people, lest they break through to Yahweh to see, and many of them perish.

And all the people perceived the thunder and the lightning flashes and the sound of the trumpet and the mountain smoking; and the people perceived it, and they shook and stood at a distance.

Then they said to Moses, "Speak to us yourself, and we will listen; but let not God speak to us, lest we die."

"And if one man's ox hurts another's so that it dies, then they shall sell the live ox and divide its price equally; and also they shall divide the dead ox.

but on the seventh year you shall let it rest and lie fallow, so that the needy of your people may eat; and whatever they leave the beast of the field may eat. Thus you shall do with your vineyard and your olive grove.

And I will send hornets ahead of you so that they will drive out the Hivites, the Canaanites, and the Hittites before you.

Moses alone, however, shall come near to Yahweh, but they shall not come near, and the people shall not come up with him."

And he sent young men of the sons of Israel, and they offered burnt offerings and sacrificed young bulls as peace offerings to Yahweh.

Then he took the book of the covenant and read it in the hearing of the people; and they said, "All that Yahweh has spoken we will do, and we will be obedient!"

and they saw the God of Israel; and under His feet there appeared to be a pavement of sapphire, as clear as the sky itself.

Yet He did not stretch out His hand against the nobles of the sons of Israel; and they beheld God, and they ate and drank.

"And they shall make an ark of acacia wood two and a half cubits long, and one and a half cubits wide, and one and a half cubits high.

Then you shall make its lamps seven in number; and they shall mount its lamps so as to shed light on the space in front of it.

"And you shall command the sons of Israel, that they bring you clear oil of beaten olives for the light, to make a lamp burn continually.

These are the garments which they shall make: a breastpiece and an ephod and a robe and a tunic of checkered work, a turban and a sash, and they shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother and his sons, in order for him to minister as priest to Me.

They shall take the gold and the blue and the purple and the scarlet material and the fine linen.

"They shall also make the ephod of gold, of blue and purple and scarlet material and fine twisted linen, the work of the skillful designer.

and the fourth row a beryl and an onyx and a jasper; they shall be set in gold settings.
