People rushed Jesus and then spit on him. Others blindfolded him and then some took turns sucker punching him. They sneered and asked, "Hey prophet!? Who hit you? Tell us the truth of what you cannot see."Then Jesus was led away, all the while people took turns punching and slapping him as he went.

One of the preacher's maids happened to walk by and she suddenly pointed at him and said, "I saw you riding with the one they call Jesus!"

Very early in the morning, all the religious leaders had made their plan against Jesus. They tied him up and handed him over to Pilate, the local Roman governor in charge.

This got the religious leaders all riled up. They were screaming and yelling accusations at Jesus.

The crowd asked Pilate to release a prisoner and he asked if they would rather release Jesus or Barabbas.

The religious leaders stirred up the crowd against Jesus and they lobbied to have Barabbas released instead.

They shouted, "String him up on the cross!"Pilate was dismayed and asked, "What has this man done that is so wrong?"The crowd didn't answer except to chant, "String him up . . . String him up . . . String him up!"

They put a purple cape on him and wove a crown of thorns that they smashed on his head. The blood ran into Jesus's eyes and down his face.

They paraded mockingly in front of Jesus and saluted him saying, "All hail the Boss of the Jews!"

They repeatedly hit him on the head, and spit on Jesus. They knelt down in fake homage and made fun of him for a long time.
