When he raises himself up, the mighty are afraid. They retreat before his thrashing.

His undersides are like sharp potsherds, Leaving a trail in the mud like a threshing sledge.

On eretz there is not his equal, That is made without fear.

The LORD turned the captivity of Iyov, when he prayed for his friends. The LORD gave Iyov twice as much as he had before.

Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that the LORD had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.

So the LORD blessed the latter end of Iyov more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.

After this Iyov lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, to four generations.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; On his law he meditates day and night.

The kings of the eretz take a stand, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD, and against his Messiah, saying,

Then he will speak to them in his anger, And terrify them in his wrath:

Kiss the son, lest he be angry, and you perish in the way, For his wrath will soon be kindled. Blessed are all those who take refuge in him.

I cry to the LORD with my voice, And he answers me out of his holy hill. Selah.

If a man doesn't relent, he will sharpen his sword; He has bent and strung his bow.

He has also prepared for himself the instruments of death. He makes ready his flaming arrows.

The trouble he causes shall return to his own head. His violence shall come down on the crown of his own head.

I will give thanks to the LORD according to his righteousness, And will sing praise to the name of the LORD Elyon.

You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

But the LORD reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.

The LORD has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.

For the wicked boasts of his heart's cravings, He blesses the greedy, and condemns the LORD.
