Likewise the spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what wee should pray for as wee ought: but the spirit it selfe maketh intercession for vs with groanings, which cannot bee vttered.

He that spared not his owne son, but deliuered him vp for vs all: how shall hee not with him also freely giue vs all things?

Neither because they are the seed of Abraham are they all children: but in Isaac shall thy seed be called.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

And not onely this, but when Rebecca also had conceiued by one, euen by our father Isaac,

(For the children being not yet borne, neither hauing done any good or euil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of workes, but of him that calleth.)

As it is written, Iacob haue I loued, but Esau haue I hated.

So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.

Nay but O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus?

Euen vs whom hee hath called, not of the Iewes onely, but also of the Gentiles.

But Israel which followed after the Law of righteousnesse, hath not attained to the Law of righteousnes.

Wherefore? because they sought it, not by faith, but as it were by the works of the Law: for they stumbled at that stumbling stone,

For I beare them record, that they haue a zeale of God, but not according to knowledge.

But the righteousnesse which is of faith, speaketh on this wise: Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heauen? That is to bring Christ down from aboue.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, euen in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that is the word of faith which we preach,

But they haue not all obeyed the Gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath beleeued our report?

But I say, haue they not heard? yes verely, their sound went into all the earth, and their words vnto the ends of the world.

But I say, Did not Israel know? First Moses saith, I will prouoke you to iealousie by them that are no people, & by a foolish nation I will anger you.

But Esaias is very bold, and saith, I was found of them that sought me not: I was made manifest vnto them, that asked not after me.

But to Israel he sayth, All day long I haue stretched foorth my hands vnto a disobedient and gainesaying people.
