And I will sow her to me in the earth; and I will have mercy on her that had not obtained mercy; and I will say to those that were not my people, You are my people; and they shall say, [You are] my God.

And Yahweh said to me, Go again, love a woman loved by her husband, but [is] an adulteress, even as Yahweh loves the sons of Israel, though they turn to other gods, and love cakes of raisins.

They feed on the sin of my people, and set their heart on their iniquity.

And they shall eat, and not have enough; they shall cause prostitution, and shall not increase; because they have left off taking heed to Yahweh.

My people ask counsel at their stock, and their staff declares to them; for the spirit of prostitution has caused them to err, and they have prostituted, [departing] from under their God.

They sacrifice on the tops of the mountains, and burn incense on the hills, under oaks and poplars and terebinths, because the shadow thereof is good: therefore your daughters commit prostitution, and your brides commit adultery.

I will not punish your daughters when they commit prostitution, nor your brides when they commit adultery; for [the men] themselves go apart with prostitutes, and they sacrifice with prostitutes; and the people that does not understand shall be overthrown.

The wind has wrapped her up in its wings; and they shall be put to shame because of their altars.

Their doings will not allow them to turn to their God; for the spirit of prostitution is inside them, and they don't know Yahweh.

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Yahweh; but they shall not find him: he has withdrawn himself from them.

I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly.

And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way toward Shechem; yes, they have committed lewdness.

When I would heal Israel, then is the iniquity of Ephraim uncovered, and the wickedness of Samaria; for they commit falsehood, and the thief enters in, and the troop of robbers ravages outside.

And they don't consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness: now their own doings have beset them about; they are before my face.

They make the king glad with their wickedness, and the princes with their lies.

They are all hot as an oven, and devour their judges; all their kings have fallen: there is none among them that calls to me.

And the pride of Israel testifies to his face: yet they have not returned to Yahweh their God, nor sought him, for all this.

And Ephraim is like a silly dove, without understanding: they call to Egypt, they go to Assyria.

And they have not cried to me with their heart, but they howl on their beds: they gash themselves for grain and new wine; they rebel against me.

Though I have taught and strengthened their arms, yet they devise mischief against me.
