In the main church, there was a thick curtain that separated God's holy place from the rest of the building. When Jesus died, this curtain was torn in two from the top to the bottom. No longer would God be separated from his people.

Also seeing his death were some women watching from a distance. These women included Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome.

Finally, Jesus appeared to the eleven remaining cowboys himself. He scolded them for not believing everyone who he had sent to tell them the good news of his riding back from the dead.
