Then they crucified Him, and divided His garments, casting lots, [fn] that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet: "They divided My garments among them,And for My clothing they cast lots." Psalms 22:18 ">[fn]

And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS THE KING OF THE JEWS.

and coming out of the graves after His resurrection, they went into the holy city and appeared to many.

So when the centurion and those with him, who were guarding Jesus, saw the earthquake and the things that had happened, they feared greatly, saying, "Truly this was the Son of God!"

So they went and made the tomb secure, sealing the stone and setting the guard.

So they went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.

And as they went to tell His disciples, [fn] behold, Jesus met them, saying, "Rejoice!" So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell My brethren to go to Galilee, and there they will see Me."

Now while they were going, behold, some of the guard came into the city and reported to the chief priests all the things that had happened.

When they had assembled with the elders and consulted together, they gave a large sum of money to the soldiers,

So they took the money and did as they were instructed; and this saying is commonly reported among the Jews until this day.

Matthew 4:18-22; Luke 5:1-11">[xr] And as He walked by the Sea of Galilee, He saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.

They immediately left their nets and followed Him.

And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.

Luke 4:31-37">[xr] Then they went into Capernaum, and immediately on the Sabbath He entered the synagogue and taught.

And they were astonished at His teaching, for He taught them as one having authority, and not as the scribes.

Then they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, "What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority [fn] He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him."

Matthew 8:14,15; Luke 4:38,39">[xr] Now as soon as they had come out of the synagogue, they entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.

But Simon's wife's mother lay sick with a fever, and they told Him about her at once.

Matthew 8:16,17; Luke 4:40,41">[xr] At evening, when the sun had set, they brought to Him all who were sick and those who were demon-possessed.
