but the one and the same Spirit works all these, dividing to each one severally even as he wills.

For the body is not one member, but many.

But now God has set the members each one of them in the body, even as it pleased him.

But now there are many members, but one body.

whereas our comely [parts] have no need: but God tempered the body together, giving more abundant honor to that [part] which lacked;

that there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.

But desire earnestly the greater gifts. And moreover a most excellent way I show to you.

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but don't have love, I have become sounding bronze, or a clanging cymbal.

And if I have [the gift of] prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.

And if I bestow all my goods to feed [the poor], and if I hand over my body that I may boast, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.

does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;

Love never fails: but if [there are] prophecies, they shall be done away; if [there are] tongues, they shall cease; if [there is] knowledge, it shall be done away.

but when that which is perfect has come, that which is in part shall be done away.

For now we see in a mirror, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then I shall know fully even as also I was fully known.

But now abides faith, hope, love, these three; and the greatest of these is love.

Follow after love; yet desire earnestly spiritual [gifts], but rather that you may prophesy.

For he that speaks in a tongue speaks not to men, but to God; for no man understands; but in the spirit he speaks mysteries.

But he that prophesies speaks to men edification, and exhortation, and consolation.

He that speaks in a tongue edifies himself; but he that prophesies edifies the church.

Now I would have you all speak with tongues, but rather that you should prophesy: and greater is he that prophesies than he that speaks with tongues, except he interprets, that the church may receive edifying.
