So they tried to seize Him, but no one laid a hand on Him, because His hour had not yet come.

He was speaking about the Spirit, whom those who believed in Him were later to receive. For the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet been glorified.

He spoke these words while teaching in the temple courts, near the treasury. Yet no one seized Him, because His hour had not yet come.

"Now we know that You have a demon!" declared the Jews. "Abraham died, and so did the prophets, yet You say that anyone who keeps Your word will never taste death.

Then the Jews said to Him, "You are not yet fifty years old, and You have seen Abraham?"

"That is remarkable indeed!" the man said. "You do not know where He is from, and yet He opened my eyes.

Now Jesus had not yet entered the village, but was still at the place where Martha had met Him.

Now, however, I am going to Him who sent Me; yet none of you asks Me, 'Where are You going?'

I still have much to tell you, but you cannot yet bear to hear it.

"Look, an hour is coming and has already come when you will be scattered, each to his own home, and you will leave Me all alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with Me.

Now there was a garden in the place where Jesus was crucified, and in the garden a new tomb in which no one had yet been laid.

"Do not cling to Me," Jesus said, "for I have not yet ascended to the Father. But go and tell My brothers, 'I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.'"

Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed."

Yet more and more believers were brought to the Lord-large numbers of both men and women.

"We gave you strict orders not to teach in this name," he said. "Yet you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and are determined to make us responsible for this man's blood."

He gave him no inheritance here, not even a foot of ground. But God promised to give possession of the land to Abraham and his descendants, even though he did not yet have a child.

you who have received the law ordained by angels, yet have not kept it."

For the Holy Spirit had not yet fallen upon any of them; they had simply been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

The people of Jerusalem and their rulers did not recognize Jesus, yet in condemning Him they fulfilled the words of the prophets that are read every Sabbath.

Yet He has not left Himself without testimony to His goodness: He gives you rain from heaven and fruitful seasons, filling your hearts with food and gladness."
