I have longed for Your salvation, O Jehovah; and Your Law is my delight.

I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek Your servant; for I do not forget Your Commandments.

I am for peace; but when I speak, they are for war.

A Song of Ascents, for Solomon. If Jehovah does not build the house, they who build it labor in vain; if Jehovah does not keep the city, the one keeping it stays awake in vain.

It is in vain for you to rise early, sit up late, to eat the bread of toils; for so He gives His beloved sleep.

Blessed is the man who has filled his quiver with them; they shall not be ashamed, for they shall speak with their enemies in the gate.

For you shall surely eat the labor of your hands; you shall be happy, and all is good to you.

I wait for Jehovah; my soul waits, and I hope for His Word.
