And you shall anoint Aaron and his sons, and sanctify them, that they may serve me in the priest's office.

And I, look, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all that are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you:

and the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded you, they shall do.

And he received it at their hand, and fashioned it with a graving tool, and made it [into] a molten calf: and they said, These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

And they rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt-offerings, and brought peace-offerings; and the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

they have turned aside quickly out of the way which I commanded them: they have made themselves a molten calf, and have worshiped it, and have sacrificed to it, and said, These are your gods, O Israel, which brought you up out of the land of Egypt.

Remember Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, your slaves, to whom you swore by your own self, and said to them, I will multiply your seed as the stars of heaven, and all this land that I have spoken of I will give to your seed, and they shall inherit it forever.

And Moses turned, and went down from the mount, with the two tables of the testimony in his hand; tables that were written on both their sides; on the one side and on the other they were written.

And when Joshua heard the noise of the people as they shouted, he said to Moses, There is a noise of war in the camp.

And he took the calf which they had made, and burnt it with fire, and ground it to powder, and strewed it on the water, and made the sons of Israel drink of it.

And Aaron said, Don't let the anger of my lord wax hot: you know the people, that they are [set] on evil.

And I said to them, Whoever has any gold, let them break it off: so they gave it me; and I cast it into the fire, and there came out this calf.

And Yahweh smote the people, because they made the calf, which Aaron made.

And when the people heard these evil tidings, they mourned: and no man put on himself his ornaments.

Or else, if you make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, who prostitute after their gods and sacrifice to their gods, they will call you. And you will eat of their sacrifice.

And when Aaron and all the sons of Israel saw Moses, look, the skin of his face shone; and they were afraid to come near him.

And all the women that were wise-hearted spun with their hands, and brought that which they had spun, the blue, and the purple, the scarlet, and the fine linen.

and they received of Moses all the offering which the sons of Israel had brought for the work of the service of the sanctuary, with which to make it. And they brought yet to him freewill-offerings every morning.

And all the wise men, that wrought all the work of the sanctuary, came every man from his work which they wrought.

And they spoke to Moses, saying, The people bring much more than enough for the service of the work which Yahweh commanded to make.
