Wee are bound to thanke God alwayes for you, brethren, as it is meete, because that your faith groweth exceedingly, and the charitie of euery one of you al towards each other aboundeth:

So that wee our selues glorie in you in the Churches of God, for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that yee endure.

Which is a manifest token of the righteous iudgement of God, that yee may bee counted worthy of the kingdome of God, for which yee also suffer;

Seeing it is a righteous thing with God to recompence tribulation to them that trouble you:

In flaming fire, taking vengeance on them that know not God, and that obey not the Gospel of our Lorde Iesus Christ,

Wherefore also we pray alwayes for you, that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of his goodnesse, and the worke of faith with power:

That the Name of our Lord Iesus Christ may bee glorified in you, and ye in him, according to the grace of our God, and the Lord Iesus Christ.

Who opposeth and exalteth himselfe aboue all that is called God, or that is worshipped: so that he as God, sitteth in the Temple of God, shewing himselfe that he is God.

And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should beleeue a lye:

But we are bound to giue thanks alway to God for you, brethren, beloued of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to saluation, through sanctification of the spirit, and beleefe of the trueth,

Now our Lorde Iesus Christ himselfe, and God euen our Father, which hath loued vs, and hath giuen vs euerlasting consolation, and good hope through grace,

And the Lord direct your hearts into the loue of God, and into the patient waiting for Christ.

Paul an Apostle of Iesus Christ by the commaundement of God our Sauiour, & Lord Iesus Christ which is our hope,

Unto Timothie my own sonne in the Faith: Grace, mercie, and peace from God our Father, and Iesus Christ our Lord.

According to the glorious Gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

Now vnto ye king eternal, immortall, inuisible, the onely wise God, be honour and glory for euer & euer. Amen.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Sauiour,

For there is one God, and one Mediatour betweene God and men, the man Christ Iesus,

(For if a man know not how to rule his owne house, how shall he take care of the Church of God?)

But if I tary long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behaue thy selfe in the House of God, which is the Church of the liuing God, the pillar and ground of the trueth.
