Then little children were being brought to him in order that he might lay his hands on them and pray. The disciples spoke sternly to those who brought them;

And he laid his hands on them and went on his way.

Then Jesus said to his disciples, "Truly I tell you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, at the renewal of all things, when the Son of Man is seated on the throne of his glory, you who have followed me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

"For the kingdom of heaven is like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard.

After agreeing with the laborers for the usual daily wage, he sent them into his vineyard.

When evening came, the owner of the vineyard said to his manager, ‘Call the laborers and give them their pay, beginning with the last and then going to the first.'

just as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life a ransom for many."

He answered, ‘I will not'; but later he changed his mind and went.

Which of the two did the will of his father?" They said, "The first." Jesus said to them, "Truly I tell you, the tax collectors and the prostitutes are going into the kingdom of God ahead of you.

When the harvest time had come, he sent his slaves to the tenants to collect his produce.

But the tenants seized his slaves and beat one, killed another, and stoned another.

Finally he sent his son to them, saying, ‘They will respect my son.'

But when the tenants saw the son, they said to themselves, ‘This is the heir; come, let us kill him and get his inheritance.'

When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.

"The kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who gave a wedding banquet for his son.

He sent his slaves to call those who had been invited to the wedding banquet, but they would not come.

But they made light of it and went away, one to his farm, another to his business,

while the rest seized his slaves, mistreated them, and killed them.

The king was enraged. He sent his troops, destroyed those murderers, and burned their city.
