In this is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son [to be] the propitiation for our sins.

There is no fear in love: but perfect love casts out fear, because fear has punishment; and he that fears has not been made perfect in love.

And who is he that overcomes the world, but he that believes that Jesus is the Son of God?

This is he that came through water and blood: Jesus Christ; not in the water only, but in the water and in the blood.

If any man sees his brother sinning a sin not to death, he shall ask, and [God] will give him life-for those that sin not to death. There is sin to death: [but] that's not what I am saying he should ask about.

We know that whoever is begotten of God does not sin; but he that was begotten of God keeps himself, and the evil one does not touch him.

The elder to the elect lady and her children, whom I love in truth; and not I only, but also all those that know the truth;

And now I urge you, lady, not as though I wrote to you a new commandment, but that which we had from the beginning, that we love one another.

Look to yourselves, that you don't lose the things which we have worked for, but that you receive a full reward.

Having many things to write to you, I would not [write them] with paper and ink: but I hope to come to you, and to speak face to face, that our joy may be made full.

I wrote somewhat to the church: but Diotrephes, who loves to have the preeminence among them, doesn't receive us.

Beloved, don't imitate that which is evil, but that which is good. He that does good is of God: he that does evil has not seen God.

I had many things to write to you, but I am unwilling to write [them] to you with ink and pen:

but I hope shortly to see you, and we shall speak face to face. [15] Peace [be] to you. The friends salute you. Salute the friends by name.

And angels that did not keep their own principality, but left their proper habitation, he has kept in everlasting bonds under darkness to the judgment of the great day.

But Michael the archangel, when contending with the devil he disputed about the body of Moses, did not dare bring against him a railing judgment, but said, The Lord rebuke you.

But these [men] rail at whatever things they don't know: and what they understand naturally, like the creatures without reason, in these things they are destroyed.

But you, beloved, remember the words which have been spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ;

But you, beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

But I have [this] against you, that you left your first love.
