They shall hang on him all the glory of his father's house, the offspring and the issue, every small vessel, from the cups even to all the pitchers.

He has stretched out his hand over the sea, he has shaken the kingdoms: the LORD has given mitzvah concerning Kana`an, to destroy the strongholds of it.

It shall be, as with the people, so with the Kohen; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest to him.

Then the moon shall be confounded, and the sun ashamed; for the LORD of Hosts will reign on Mount Tziyon, and in Yerushalayim; and before his Zakenim shall be glory.

For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the awesome ones is as a storm against the wall.

He has swallowed up death forever; and the Lord GOD will wipe away tears from off all faces; and the reproach of his people will he take away from off all the eretz: for the LORD has spoken it.

It shall be said in that day, Behold, this is our God; we have waited for him, and he will save us: this is the LORD; we have waited for him, we will be glad and rejoice in his yeshu`ah.

For in this mountain will the hand of the LORD rest; and Mo'av shall be trodden down in his place, even as straw is trodden down in the water of the dung-hill.

He shall spread forth his hands in the midst of it, as he who swims spreads forth [his hands] to swim; but [the LORD] will lay low his pride together with the craft of his hands.

For, behold, the LORD comes forth out of his place to punish the inhabitants of the eretz for their iniquity: the eretz also shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

In that day the LORD with his hard and great and strong sword will punish livyatan the swift serpent, and livyatan the crooked serpent; and he will kill the monster that is in the sea.

In measure, when you send them away, you do contend with them; he has removed [them] with his rough blast in the day of the east wind.

Therefore by this shall the iniquity of Ya`akov be forgiven, and this is all the fruit of taking away his sin: that he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones that are beaten in sunder, [so that] the Asherim and the sun-images shall rise no more.

It shall happen in that day, that the LORD will beat off [his fruit] from the flood of the River to the brook of Mitzrayim; and you shall be gathered one by one, you children of Yisra'el.

Woe to the crown of pride of the drunkards of Efrayim, and to the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley of those who are overcome with wine!

and the fading flower of his glorious beauty, which is on the head of the fat valley, shall be as the first-ripe fig before the summer; which when he who looks on it sees, while it is yet in his hand he eats it up.

In that day will the LORD of Hosts become a crown of glory, and a diadem of beauty, to the residue of his people;

For the LORD will rise up as on Mount Perazim, he will be angry as in the valley of Giv`on; that he may do his work, his strange work, and bring to pass his act, his strange act.

Does he who plows to sow plow continually? does he [continually] open and harrow his ground?

For his God does instruct him aright, [and] does teach him.
