but you said, No, for we will flee on horses; therefore shall you flee: and, We will ride on the swift; therefore shall those who pursue you be swift.

Therefore will the LORD wait, that he may be gracious to you; and therefore will he be exalted, that he may have mercy on you: for the LORD is a God of justice; blessed are all those who wait for him.

For the people shall dwell in Tziyon at Yerushalayim; you shall weep no more; he will surely be gracious to you at the voice of your cry; when he shall hear, he will answer you.

For through the voice of the LORD shall the Ashshur be dismayed; with his rod will he strike [him].

For a Tofet is prepared of old; yes, for the king it is made ready; he has made it deep and large; the pile of it is fire and much wood; the breath of the LORD, like a stream of sulfur, does kindle it.

Woe to those who go down to Mitzrayim for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they don't look to the Holy One of Yisra'el, neither seek the LORD!

For the palace shall be forsaken; the populous city shall be deserted; the hill and the watch-tower shall be for dens forever, a joy of wild donkeys, a pasture of flocks;

LORD, be gracious to us; we have waited for you: be our arm every morning, our salvation also in the time of trouble.

The LORD is exalted; for he dwells on high: he has filled Tziyon with justice and righteousness.

For the LORD is our judge, the LORD is our lawgiver, the LORD is our king; he will save us.

For the LORD has indignation against all the nations, and wrath against all their host: he has utterly destroyed them, he has delivered them to the slaughter.

For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky: behold, it shall come down on Edom, and on the people of my curse, to judgment.

The sword of the LORD is filled with blood, it is made fat with fatness, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for the LORD has a sacrifice in Botzrah, and a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

For the LORD has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Tziyon.
