For Yahweh will execute judgment by fireAnd by His sword on all flesh,And those slain by Yahweh will be many.

to whom the word of Yahweh came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

Then Yahweh sent forth His hand and touched my mouth, and Yahweh said to me,"Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

For, behold, I am calling all the families of the kingdoms of the north," declares Yahweh; "and they will come, and each one of them will put his throne at the opening of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all its walls round about and against all the cities of Judah.

Israel was holy to Yahweh,The first of His produce.All who ate of it became guilty;Evil came upon them," declares Yahweh.'"

The young lions have roared at him;They have given forth their voice.And they have made his land a desolation;His cities have been turned into ruin, without inhabitant.

Yet you said, ‘I am innocent;Surely His anger is turned away from me.'Behold, I will enter into judgment with youBecause you say, ‘I have not sinned.'

God says, "If a husband divorces his wifeAnd she goes from himAnd belongs to another man,Will he still return to her?Will not that land be completely polluted?But you are a harlot with many lovers;Yet you turn to Me," declares Yahweh.

A lion has gone up from his thicket,And a destroyer of nations has set out;He has gone out from his placeTo make your land a desolation.Your cities will be turned into ruinsWithout inhabitant.

Behold, he goes up like clouds,And his chariots like the whirlwind;His horses are swifter than eagles.Woe to us, for we are devastated!"

I saw, and behold, the fruitful orchard was a wilderness,And all its cities were torn downBefore Yahweh, before His burning anger.

They were well‑fed lusty horses,Each one neighing after his neighbor's wife.

Shepherds and their flocks will come to her;They will pitch their tents around her;They will pasture each in his place.

For if you truly make your ways and your deeds good, if you truly do justice between a man and his neighbor,

Cut off your hair and cast it away,And lift up a funeral lamentation on the bare heights;For Yahweh has rejected and abandonedThe generation of His wrath.'

I have given heed and heard,They have spoken what is not right;No man regretted his evil,Saying, ‘What have I done?'Everyone turned to his course,Like a horse charging into the battle.

From Dan is heard the snorting of his horses;At the sound of the neighing of his valiant steedsThe whole land quakes;And they come and devour the land as well as its fullness,The city and its inhabitants.

"Let everyone beware of his neighbor,And do not trust any brother,Because every brother surely supplants,And every neighbor goes about as a slanderer.

Everyone deceives his neighborAnd does not speak the truth;They have taught their tongue to speak lies;They weary themselves committing iniquity.

Their tongue is a slaughtering arrow;It speaks deceit;With his mouth one speaks peace to his neighbor,But inwardly he sets an ambush for him.
