And those that were numbered of them were twenty-three thousand, all males from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because there was no inheritance given them among the children of Israel.

These are those that were numbered by Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in the plains of Moab by the Jordan near Jericho.

But among these there was not a man of those whom Moses and Aaron the priest numbered, when they numbered the children of Israel in the wilderness of Sinai.

And you shall say to the children of Israel, If a man dies and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.

And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his kinsman that is next to him of his family, and he shall possess it; and it shall be to the children of Israel a statute of judgment, as the LORD commanded Moses.

And the LORD said to Moses, Go up into this mountain of the Hebrews and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.

And you shall put some of your honor upon him that all the congregation of the children of Israel may obey him.

And he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall ask for him after the ordinance of the law before the LORD; at his word they shall go out and at his word they shall come in, both he and all the children of Israel with him, the whole congregation.

Command the children of Israel and say to them, My offerings and the bread of my offerings made by fire for a sweet savour to me they shall observe, to offer to me in their due season.

And Moses told the children of Israel according to all that the LORD commanded Moses.

AND Moses spoke to the chiefs of the tribes of the children of Israel and said to them, This is the thing which the LORD has commanded:

Avenge the children of Israel against the Midianites; afterward you shall be gathered to your people.

And the children of Israel took all the women of Midian captives; and their little ones and all their cattle and all their flocks and all their I wealth they plundered.

And they brought the captives, the booty, and the spoil, to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to the congregation of the children of Israel, to the camp at the plains of Moab which are by the Jordan near Jericho.

For it was they who caused the children of Israel, through the counsel of Balaam, to commit trespass against the LORD in the matter of Peor, and there was a plague in the congregation of the LORD.

But all the female children, who have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves.

And from the children of Israels half, you shall take one out of every fifty, of the persons, of the oxen, of the asses, and of the flocks, and of all the beasts, and give them to the Levites, who have charge of the tabernacle of the LORD.

And of the children of Israels half, which Moses divided from the men who had gone out to war,

Even of the children of Israels half, Moses took one portion of every fifty, both of man and of beasts, and gave them to the Levites, who have charge of the tabernacle of the LORD; as the LORD commanded Moses.

And Moses and Eleazar the priest took the gold from commanders of thousands and from captains of hundreds and brought it into the tabernacle of the congregation for a memorial for the children of Israel before the LORD.
