For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt; I am black; astonishment hath taken hold on me.

But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord .

O Lord , thou hast deceived me, and I was deceived; thou art stronger than I, and hast prevailed: I am in derision daily, every one mocketh me.

Behold, I am against thee, O inhabitant of the valley, and rock of the plain, saith the Lord ; which say, Who shall come down against us? or who shall enter into our habitations?

Mine heart within me is broken because of the prophets; all my bones shake; I am like a drunken man, and like a man whom wine hath overcome, because of the Lord , and because of the words of his holiness.

Am I a God at hand, saith the Lord , and not a God afar off?

Therefore, behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord , that steal my words every one from his neighbour.

Behold, I am against the prophets, saith the Lord , that use their tongues, and say, He saith.

Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord , and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord .

And I will give them an heart to know me, that I am the Lord : and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: for they shall return unto me with their whole heart.

As for me, behold, I am in your hand: do with me as seemeth good and meet unto you.

Because they have committed villany in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbours' wives, and have spoken lying words in my name, which I have not commanded them; even I know, and am a witness, saith the Lord .

For I am with thee, saith the Lord , to save thee: though I make a full end of all nations whither I have scattered thee, yet I will not make a full end of thee: but I will correct thee in measure, and will not leave thee altogether unpunished.

They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them: I will cause them to walk by the rivers of waters in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble: for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

Behold, I am the Lord , the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?

And Jeremiah commanded Baruch, saying, I am shut up; I cannot go into the house of the Lord :

And Zedekiah the king said unto Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews that are fallen to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.
