So his fame spread throughout all Syria, and they brought him all the sick, those afflicted with various diseases and pains, demoniacs, epileptics, and paralytics, and he healed them.

Seeing the crowds, he went up on the mountain, and when he sat down his disciples came to him.

And he opened his mouth and taught them, saying:

But I say to you that every one who is angry with his brother shall be liable to judgment; whoever insults his brother shall be liable to the council, and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be liable to the hell of fire.

But I say to you that every one who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

"It was also said, 'Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.'

But I say to you that every one who divorces his wife, except on the ground of unchastity, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

or by the earth, for it is his footstool, or by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for he makes his sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.

And which of you by being anxious can add one cubit to his span of life?

yet I tell you, even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things shall be yours as well.

Or what man of you, if his son asks him for bread, will give him a stone?

"Every one then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house upon the rock;

And every one who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house upon the sand;

And when Jesus finished these sayings, the crowds were astonished at his teaching,

And he stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, "I will; be clean." And immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

And when Jesus entered Peter's house, he saw his mother-in-law lying sick with a fever;

And Jesus said to him, "Foxes have holes, and birds of the air have nests; but the Son of man has nowhere to lay his head."

And when he got into the boat, his disciples followed him.
