for the words which You gave Me I have given to them; and they received them and truly understood that I came forth from You, and they believed that You sent Me.

While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell upon all those who were listening to the message.

and he will speak words to you by which you will be saved, you and all your household.'

"The words of the Prophets agree with this, just as it is written:

The officers reported these words to the chief magistrates. And they became fearful when they heard that they were Romans,

"In everything I showed you that by working hard in this way you must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

But Paul said, "I am not insane, most excellent Festus; on the contrary, I am speaking out with truthful and rational words.

Great in every respect. First, that they were entrusted with the actual words of God.

Far from it! Rather, God must prove to be true, though every person be found a liar, as it is written: "SO THAT YOU ARE JUSTIFIED IN YOUR WORDS, AND PREVAIL WHEN YOU ARE JUDGED."

Now in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know what to pray for as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words;
