And in the same house, remain, eating and drinking such things as they have: for the labourer is worthy of his hire. Remove not from house to house.

And which of you, if he ask his father bread, will he give him a stone? Or a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent?

And if Satan also be divided against himself, how shall his kingdom stand? Because you say that through Beelzebub I cast out devils.

When a strong man armed keepeth his court, those things are in peace which he possesseth.

But if a stronger than he come upon him and overcome him, he will take away all his armour wherein he trusted and will distribute his spoils.

And as he was saying these things to them, the Pharisees and the lawyers began violently to urge him and to oppress his mouth about many things,

Lying in wait for him and seeking to catch something from his mouth, that they might accuse him.

And when great multitudes stood about him, so that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.

And he said to his disciples: Therefore I say to you: Be not solicitous for your life, what you shall eat, nor for your body, what you shall put on.

And which of you by taking thought can add to his stature one cubit?

Consider the lilies, how they grow: they labour not, neither do they spin. But I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was clothed like one of these.

But seek ye first the kingdom of God and his justice: and all these things shall be added unto you.

But this know ye, that if the householder did know at what hour the thief would come, he would surely watch and would not suffer his house to be broken open.
