Now therefore, tell the men of Judah and residents of Jerusalem that this is what the LORD says: 'Behold, I am planning a disaster for you and devising a plan against you. Turn now, each of you, from your evil ways, and correct your ways and deeds.'

saying, 'Hear the word of the LORD, O kings of Judah and residents of Jerusalem. This is what the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel, says: I am going to bring such disaster on this place that the ears of all who hear of it will ring,

"Thus says the LORD of Hosts, the God of Israel: 'I am about to bring on this city and on all the villages around it every disaster I have pronounced against them, because they have stiffened their necks so as not to heed My words.'"

You have deceived me, O LORD, and I was deceived. You have overcome me and prevailed. I am a laughingstock all day long; everyone mocks me.

Behold, I am against you, Jerusalem, you who sit above the valley, atop the rocky plateau-declares the LORD-you who say, "Who can come against us? Who can enter our habitations?"

"Am I only a God nearby," declares the LORD, "and not a God far away?"

"Therefore behold," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who steal from each other words they attribute to Me."

"Yes," declares the LORD, "I am against the prophets who wag their own tongues and proclaim, 'The Lord declares it.'"

"Indeed," declares the LORD, "I am against those who prophesy false dreams they tell to lead My people astray with their reckless lies. It was not I who sent or commanded them, and they are of no benefit at all to these people," declares the LORD.

I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am the LORD. They will be My people, and I will be their God, for they will return to Me with all their heart.

For behold, I am beginning to bring disaster on the city that bears My name, so how could you possibly go unpunished? You will not go unpunished, for I am calling down a sword against all the inhabitants of the earth, declares the LORD of Hosts.'

Perhaps they will listen and turn-each from his evil way of life-so that I may relent of the disaster that I am planning to do to them because of the evil of their deeds.

As for me, here I am in your hands; do to me what you think is good and right.

Nevertheless, listen now to this message I am speaking in your hearing and in the hearing of all the people.

Therefore, this is what the LORD says: 'I am about to remove you from the face of the earth. You will die this year because you have preached rebellion against the LORD.'"

For they have committed an outrage in Israel by committing adultery with the wives of their neighbors and speaking lies in My name, which I did not command them to do. I am He who knows, and I am a witness, declares the LORD.

For I am with you to save you, declares the LORD. Though I will completely destroy all the nations to which I have scattered you, I will not completely destroy you; yet I will correct you in measure, and I will by no means leave you unpunished."

They will come with weeping, and by their supplication I will lead them; I will make them walk beside streams of waters, on a level path where they will not stumble. For I am Israel's Father, and Ephraim is My firstborn."

For Zedekiah king of Judah had imprisoned him, saying: "Why are you prophesying that the LORD says: 'Behold, I am about to hand this city over to the king of Babylon, and he will capture it.

"Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh. Is anything too difficult for Me?
