Behold, I have not divided to you the land of these nations that remain, in the inheritance of your tribes; but from the Jordan, all the nations that I have destroyed, even to the Great Sea westward, have I divided among you.

But cleave to the LORD your God, as you have done even to this day.

Then know for sure that the LORD your God will no more destroy these nations from before you; but they shall be snares and traps to you, and spears in your sides and fishhooks in your eyes, until you perish from off this good land which the LORD your God has given you.

And I gave to Isaac, Jacob and Esau; and I gave to Esau mount Seir for a possession; but Jacob and his children went down to Egypt.

But I would not hearken to Balaam; therefore he blessed you still; so I delivered you from his hands.

And I sent raiders before you, and I destroyed from before you the two kings of the Amorites; but not with your swords, nor with your bows.
