He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into the kingdom of the Son of His love,

in whom we have redemption through His blood, [fn] the forgiveness of sins.

and by Him to reconcile all things to Himself, by Him, whether things on earth or things in heaven, having made peace through the blood of His cross.

in the body of His flesh through death, to present you holy, and blameless, and above reproach in His sight--

I now rejoice in my sufferings for you, and fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ, for the sake of His body, which is the church,

the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now has been revealed to His saints.

To this end I also labor, striving according to His working which works in me mightily.

Let no one cheat you of your reward, taking delight in false humility and worship of angels, intruding into those things which he has not [fn] seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,

Do not lie to one another, since you have put off the old man with his deeds,

Greet the brethren who are in Laodicea, and Nymphas and the church that is in his [fn] house.

and to wait for His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead, even Jesus who delivers us from the wrath to come.

as you know how we exhorted, and comforted, and charged [fn] every one of you, as a father does his own children,

that you would walk worthy of God who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.

For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Is it not even you in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at His coming?

so that He may establish your hearts blameless in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His saints.

that each of you should know how to possess his own vessel in sanctification and honor,

that no one should take advantage of and defraud his brother in this matter, because the Lord is the avenger of all such, as we also forewarned you and testified.

Therefore he who rejects this does not reject man, but God, who has also given [fn] us His Holy Spirit.

and to give you who are troubled rest with us when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with His mighty angels,

These shall be punished with everlasting destruction from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of His power,
