And He said, "A man had two sons.

"And not many days later, the younger son gathered everything together and went on a journey to a distant country, and there he squandered his estate in wild living.

"Now when he had spent everything, a severe famine occurred in that country, and he began doing without.

"So he set out and came to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt compassion for him, and ran and embraced him and kissed him.

"But the father said to his slaves, 'Quickly bring out the best robe and put it on him, and put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet;

"But he answered and said to his father, 'Look! For so many years I have been serving you and I have never neglected a command of yours; and yet you never gave me a young goat, so that I might celebrate with my friends;

Now He was also saying to the disciples, "There was a rich man who had a manager, and this manager was reported to him as squandering his possessions.

"And he said, 'A hundred jugs of oil.' And he said to him, 'Take your bill, and sit down quickly and write fifty.'

"Then he said to another, 'And how much do you owe?' And he said, 'A hundred kors of wheat.' He said to him, 'Take your bill, and write eighty.'

"The one who is faithful in a very little thing is also faithful in much; and the one who is unrighteous in a very little thing is also unrighteous in much.

"But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.

"Everyone who divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery, and he who marries one who is divorced from a husband commits adultery.

"Now there was a rich man, and he habitually dressed in purple and fine linen, enjoying himself in splendor every day.

"And a poor man named Lazarus was laid at his gate, covered with sores,

'And besides all this, between us and you a great chasm has been set, so that those who want to go over from here to you will not be able, nor will any people cross over from there to us.'

"It is better for him if a millstone is hung around his neck and he is thrown into the sea, than that he may cause one of these little ones to sin.

"And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."

But the Lord said, "If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea'; and it would obey you.

"Now which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him after he comes in from the field, 'Come immediately and recline at the table to eat'?

And as He entered a village, ten men with leprosy who stood at a distance met Him;
