Romans 9:4

God chose these people to work his pastures and be his own adopted kids. God showed himself to them. He made promises to them and told them what it'd take to receive those promises. He allowed them to worship him and come right into his presence.

Abe, Isaac, and Jake are their ancestors, and Jesus himself was an Israelite by all human standards and nature. But he wasn't just any ordinary human. He was God himself and rules over all of God's spread.
