God has given the rulers of Midian, Oreb and Zeeb, into your hand. And what was I able to do like you? Then their spirit was abated toward him when he said this word.

And it happened, when Gideon was dead, the sons of Israel rebelled and went whoring after the Baals, and appointed Baal-berith for a god for themselves.

And the sons of Israel did not remember Jehovah their God who had delivered them out of the hand of all their enemies all around;

And they told Jotham, and he went and stood on the top of Mount Gerizim. And he lifted up his voice and cried, and said to them, Listen to me, leaders of Shechem, and God shall listen to you.

And the olive said to them, Should I cease from my fatness, by which they honor God and man, and go to hold sway over the trees?

And the vine said to them, Should I cease from my new wine, which rejoices God and men, and go to hold sway over the trees?

And God sent an evil spirit between Abimelech and the leaders of Shechem. And the leaders of Shechem dealt treacherously with Abimelech;

And they went out into the fields and gathered their vineyards, and trod out, and made a festival, and went into the house of their god and ate and drank, and cursed Abimelech.

And all the leaders of the tower of Shechem heard, and went into the high place of the house of the god Berith.

And God returned the evil of Abimelech which he did to his father, to kill his seventy brothers.

And all the evil of the men of Shechem God turned back on their heads. And the curse of Jotham the son of Jerubbaal came on them.

And the sons of Israel cried to Jehovah, saying, We have sinned against You, even because we have forsaken our God, and have served the Baals.

And Jehovah the God of Israel gave Sihon and all his people into the hand of Israel, and they struck them. And Israel took possession of all the land of the Amorites, the inhabitants of that land.

And now, Jehovah our God has dispossessed the Amorite from before His people Israel. And would you possess it?

Whatever Chemosh your god causes you to possess, do you not possess it? And all that which Jehovah our God has dispossessed from before us, we will possess!

For, behold, you are pregnant and bearing a son. And a razor shall not go on his head, for the boy shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb. And he shall begin to save Israel out of the hand of the Philistines.

And the woman came and spoke to her husband, saying, A Man of God has come to me, and He was seen as the appearance of the Angel of God, very terrifying. And I did not ask Him where He was from, and He did not tell me His name.

And He said to me, Behold, you are pregnant and will bear a son. And now do not drink wine or fermented drink, and do not eat any unclean thing , for the boy shall be a Nazarite to God from the womb, until the day of his death.

Then Manoah prayed to Jehovah, and said, O my Lord, the Man of God whom You sent, please let Him come again to us and direct us what we shall do to the boy being born.

And God listened to the voice of Manoah, and the Angel of God came again to the woman. And she was sitting in a field; and her husband Manoah was not with her.
