Then Daniel returned answer with counsel and prudence to Arioch the captain of the king's guard, who had gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon;

Pilate said to them, You have a guard: go, make it [as] sure as you can.

So they went, and made the tomb sure, sealing the stone, the guard being with them.

Now while they were going, look, some of the guard came into the city, and told to the chief priests all the things that had come to pass.

And right away the king sent forth a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring his head: and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

for it is written, He shall give his angels charge concerning you, to guard you:

For he commanded the unclean spirit to come out from the man. For oftentimes it had seized him: and he was kept under guard, and bound with chains and fetters; and breaking the bands apart, he was driven by the demon into the deserts.

And when he had taken him, he put him in prison, and delivered him to four groups of four soldiers to guard him; intending after the Passover to bring him forth to the people.

And when they were past the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate that leads into the city; which opened to them of its own accord: and they went out, and passed on through one street; and immediately the angel departed from him.

so that my bonds became manifest in Christ throughout the whole praetorian guard, and to all the rest;

And the peace of God, which passes all understanding, shall guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.

But the Lord is faithful, who shall establish you, and guard you from the evil [one].

O Timothy, guard that which is committed to [you], turning away from the profane babblings and oppositions of the knowledge which is falsely so called;

For which cause I suffer also these things: yet I am not ashamed; for I know him whom I have believed, and I am persuaded that he is able to guard that which I have committed to him against that day.

That good thing which was committed to [you] guard through the Holy Spirit which dwells in us.

[My] little children, guard yourselves from idols.

Now to him that is able to guard you from stumbling, and to set you before the presence of his glory without blemish in exceeding joy,
