מִשְׁמַעַת f.

(1)  admission, access to a prince, audience, Germ. Audienz, Ital. udienza. 1 Samuel 22:14, סָר אֶל־מִשְׁמַעְתֶּךָ “and hath access to thy private audience.” 2 Samuel 23:23; 1 Chronicles 11:25.

(2) obedience, for the concr. obedient ones, Isaiah 11:14.
