"The king of Egypt will be strong. One of his generals, however, will be even stronger and rule a greater kingdom.

Jonah, however, set out in the opposite direction in order to get away from the Lord . He went to Joppa, where he found a ship about to go to Spain. He paid his fare and went aboard with the crew to sail to Spain, where he would be away from the Lord .

When the Son of Man came, he ate and drank, and everyone said, ‘Look at this man! He is a glutton and wine drinker, a friend of tax collectors and other outcasts!' God's wisdom, however, is shown to be true by its results."

This, however, is not the way it shall be among you. If one of you wants to be great, you must be the servant of the rest;

Jesus, however, was aware of their evil plan, and so he said, "You hypocrites! Why are you trying to trap me?

So you must obey and follow everything they tell you to do; do not, however, imitate their actions, because they don't practice what they preach.

But God has already reduced the number of days; had he not done so, nobody would survive. For the sake of his chosen people, however, God will reduce the days.

"No one knows, however, when that day and hour will come—neither the angels in heaven nor the Son; the Father alone knows.

Because of the crowd, however, they could not get the man to him. So they made a hole in the roof right above the place where Jesus was. When they had made an opening, they let the man down, lying on his mat.

Others, however, said, "He is Elijah." Others said, "He is a prophet, like one of the prophets of long ago."

Many people, however, saw them leave and knew at once who they were; so they went from all the towns and ran ahead by land and arrived at the place ahead of Jesus and his disciples.

I tell you, however, that Elijah has already come and that people treated him just as they pleased, as the Scriptures say about him."

because he was teaching his disciples: "The Son of Man will be handed over to those who will kill him. Three days later, however, he will rise to life."

God's wisdom, however, is shown to be true by all who accept it."

Before all these things take place, however, you will be arrested and persecuted; you will be handed over to be tried in synagogues and be put in prison; you will be brought before kings and rulers for my sake.
