And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, [fn] "Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

I will kill her children with death, and all the churches shall know that I am He who searches the minds and hearts. And I will give to each one of you according to your works.

Behold, [fn] I am coming quickly! Hold fast what you have, that no one may take your crown.

Because you say, "I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing'--and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked--

"Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame."

In the measure that she glorified herself and lived luxuriously, in the same measure give her torment and sorrow; for she says in her heart, "I sit as queen, and am no widow, and will not see sorrow.'

And I fell at his feet to worship him. But he said to me, "See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."

And He said to me, "It is done! [fn] I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End. I will give of the fountain of the water of life freely to him who thirsts.

"Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."

Then he said to me, "See that you do not do that. For [fn] I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."

"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work.

I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last." [fn]

"I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star."

He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming quickly." Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
