Believe me when I say that I am in the Father and the Father is in me. Or believe because of the miracles I have done.

I tell you the truth, whoever believes in me will do the same things that I do. Those who believe will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father.

On that day you will know that I am in my Father, and that you are in me and I am in you.

"I have told you all these things while I am with you.

You heard me say to you, ‘I am going, but I am coming back to you.' If you loved me, you should be happy that I am going back to the Father, because he is greater than I am.

"I am the true vine; my Father is the gardener.

"I am the vine, and you are the branches. If any remain in me and I remain in them, they produce much fruit. But without me they can do nothing.

Now I am going back to the One who sent me. But none of you asks me, ‘Where are you going?'

Some of the followers said to each other, "What does Jesus mean when he says, ‘After a little while you will not see me, and then after a little while you will see me again'? And what does he mean when he says, ‘Because I am going to the Father' ?"

I came from the Father into the world. Now I am leaving the world and going back to the Father."

Listen to me; a time is coming when you will be scattered, each to your own home. That time is now here. You will leave me alone, but I am never really alone, because the Father is with me.

I am praying for them. I am not praying for people in the world but for those you gave me, because they are yours.

I am coming to you; I will not stay in the world any longer. But they are still in the world. Holy Father, keep them safe by the power of your name, the name you gave me, so that they will be one, just as you and I are one.

"I am coming to you now. But I pray these things while I am still in the world so that these followers can have all of my joy in them.

I am not asking you to take them out of the world but to keep them safe from the Evil One.

For their sake, I am making myself ready to serve so that they can be ready for their service of the truth.

"I pray for these followers, but I am also praying for all those who will believe in me because of their teaching.

Father, I pray that they can be one. As you are in me and I am in you, I pray that they can also be one in us. Then the world will believe that you sent me.

"Father, I want these people that you gave me to be with me where I am. I want them to see my glory, which you gave me because you loved me before the world was made.

They answered, "Jesus from Nazareth." "I am he," Jesus said. (Judas, the one who turned against Jesus, was standing there with them.)
