I tell you, many early preachers and kings have wanted to see the things you are seeing, but they did not see them. They have wanted to hear the things you are hearing, but they did not hear them."

Martha was working hard getting the supper ready. She came to Jesus and said, "Do You see that my sister is not helping me? Tell her to help me."

Others tried to trap Jesus. They asked for something special to see from heaven.

When the people were gathered near Jesus, He said, "The people of this day are sinful. They are looking for something special to see. They will get nothing special to see, except what Jonah the early preacher did.

"No man lights a lamp and then hides it under a pail. He puts the light on a lamp-stand so those who come in can see it.

Then Jesus also said to the people, "When you see a cloud coming in the west, you say at once, ‘It is going to rain.' And it does.

When you see the wind blow from the south, you say, ‘It will be a hot day.' And it is.

He said to his servant, ‘See! For three years I have been coming here looking for fruit on this fig tree. I never find any. Cut it down. Why does it even waste the ground?'

"There will be loud crying and grinding of teeth when you see Abraham and Isaac and Jacob and all the early preachers in the holy nation of God, but you will be put out.

Jesus said to them, "Go and tell that fox, ‘See. I put out demons and heal the sick. I will do these things today and tomorrow. And the third day My work will be finished.'

See! Your house is empty. And I tell you, you will not see Me again until the time comes when you will say, ‘Great and honored is the One Who comes in the name of the Lord.'"

On the Day of Rest Jesus went into the house of one of the leaders of the proud religious law-keepers to eat. They all watched Jesus to see what He would do.

They all gave different reasons why they could not come. The first said, ‘I have bought some land and I must go and see it. Do not expect me to come.'

"If one of you wanted to build a large building, you would sit down first and think of how much money it would take to build it. You would see if you had enough money to finish it,

or when the base of the building is finished, you might see that you do not have enough money to finish it. Then all who would see it would make fun of you.

It will not be said, ‘See, here it is!' or, ‘There it is!' For the holy nation of God is in you."

Jesus said to His followers, "The time will come when you will wish you could see the Son of Man for one day. But you will not be able to.

But I will see that this woman whose husband has died gets her rights because I get tired of her coming all the time.'"

Then Peter said, "See, we have left everything and have followed You."

Then Jesus took the twelve followers to one side and said, "See! We are going up to Jerusalem. All the things the early preachers wrote about the Son of Man are going to happen.
