However, before Jeremiah turned to go, Nebuzaradan added, "Go back to Gedaliah son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, whom the king of Babylon has appointed over the towns of Judah, and live with him among the people, or go anywhere else you please." The astrologers answered the king, "There is not a man on earth who can do what the king asks! No king, however great and mighty, has ever asked such a thing of any magician or enchanter or astrologer.

"His successor will send out a tax collector to maintain the royal splendor. In a few years, however, he will be destroyed, yet not in anger or in battle.

The wise, however, took oil in jars along with their lamps.

However, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven."

I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?"
