It grew, and became a spreading vine of low stature, whose branches turned toward him, and the roots of it were under him: so it became a vine, and brought forth branches, and shot forth sprigs.

Therefore I will judge you, house of Yisra'el, everyone according to his ways, says the Lord GOD. Return you, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions; so iniquity shall not be your ruin.

Fire is gone out of the rods of its branches, it has devoured its fruit, so that there is in it no strong rod to be a scepter to rule. This is a lamentation, and shall be for a lamentation.

So I caused them to go forth out of the land of Mitzrayim, and brought them into the wilderness.

Then I said to them, What means the high place whereunto you go? So the name of it is called Bamah to this day.

Like as I entered into judgment with your fathers in the wilderness of the land of Mitzrayim, so will I enter into judgment with you, says the Lord GOD.

Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your doings your sins do appear; because you have come to memory, you shall be taken with the hand.

As they gather silver and brass and iron and lead and tin into the midst of the furnace, to blow the fire on it, to melt it; so will I gather you in my anger and in my wrath, and I will lay you there, and melt you.

As silver is melted in the midst of the furnace, so shall you be melted in the midst of it; and you shall know that I, the LORD, have poured out my wrath on you.

So she uncovered her prostitution, and uncovered her nakedness: then my soul was alienated from her, like as my soul was alienated from her sister.

Thus will I make your lewdness to cease from you, and your prostitution [brought] from the land of Mitzrayim; so that you shall not lift up your eyes to them, nor remember Mitzrayim any more.

They went in to her, as they go in to a prostitute: so went they in to Oholah and to Oholivah, the lewd women.

So I spoke to the people in the morning; and at even my wife died; and I did in the morning as I was commanded.

The people said to me, Won't you tell us what these things are to us, that you do so?

In that day shall your mouth be opened to him who is escaped, and you shall speak, and be no more mute: so shall you be a sign to them; and they shall know that I am the LORD.

You were the anointed Keruv who covers: and I set you, [so that] you were on the holy mountain of God; you have walked up and down in the midst of the stones of fire.

I made it beautiful by the multitude of its branches, so that all the trees of `Eden, that were in the garden of God, envied it.

So you, son of man, I have set you a watchman to the house of Yisra'el; therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me.

I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment; and the pride of her power shall cease; and the mountains of Yisra'el shall be desolate, so that none shall pass through.
