The LORD also will roar from Zion, And utter His voice from Jerusalem; The heavens and earth will shake; But the LORD will be a shelter for His people, And the strength of the children of Israel.

God came from Teman, The Holy One from Mount Paran. Selah His glory covered the heavens, And the earth was full of His praise.

"I will consume man and beast;I will consume the birds of the heavens,The fish of the sea,And the stumbling blocks [fn] along with the wicked.I will cut off man from the face of the land,"Says the Lord.

Therefore the heavens above you withhold the dew, and the earth withholds its fruit.

"For the seed shall be prosperous, The vine shall give its fruit, The ground shall give her increase, And the heavens shall give their dew-- I will cause the remnant of this people To possess all these.

The burden [fn] of the word of the Lord against Israel. Thus says the Lord, who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him:

When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He [fn] saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him.

Mark 13:24-27; Luke 21:25-28">[xr] "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

And immediately, coming up from [fn] the water, He saw the heavens parting and the Spirit descending upon Him like a dove.

the stars of heaven will fall, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.

Sell what you have and give alms; provide yourselves money bags which do not grow old, a treasure in the heavens that does not fail, where no thief approaches nor moth destroys.

men's hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

"For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: "The LORD said to my Lord, "Sit at My right hand,

and said, "Look! I see the heavens opened and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!"

For we know that if our earthly house, this tent, is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

He who descended is also the One who ascended far above all the heavens, that He might fill all things.)

And: "You, LORD, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands.

Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and has become higher than the heavens;

Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens,
