Absalom lived in Jerusalem for two years, but he never got to see the king.

And Absalom replied, "Because I wanted you to ask the king why he brought me back from Geshur if he didn't intend to see me. I might as well have stayed there. Let me see the king; if he finds me guilty of anything, then let him kill me."

Then the king instructed Zadok to take the Ark of God back into the city. "If the Lord sees fit," David said, "he will bring me back to see the Ark and the Tabernacle again.

And perhaps the Lord will see that I am being wronged and will bless me because of these curses today."

When David's friend Hushai the Arkite arrived, he went immediately to see Absalom. "Long live the king!" he exclaimed. "Long live the king!"

So they set up a tent on the palace roof where everyone could see it, and Absalom went in and had sex with his father's concubines.

But then Absalom said, "Bring in Hushai the Arkite. Let's see what he thinks about this."

But Joab replied to the king, "May the Lord your God let you live to see a hundred times as many people as there are now! But why, my lord the king, do you want to do this?"

The king's officials told him, "Nathan the prophet is here to see you." Nathan went in and bowed before the king with his face to the ground.

and he said, ‘Praise the Lord , the God of Israel, who today has chosen a successor to sit on my throne while I am still alive to see it.'"

But when Hiram came from Tyre to see the towns Solomon had given him, he was not at all pleased with them.

So Jeroboam's wife went to Ahijah's home at Shiloh. He was an old man now and could no longer see.

"Do you see how Ahab has humbled himself before me? Because he has done this, I will not do what I promised during his lifetime. It will happen to his sons; I will destroy his dynasty."

"So you see, the Lord has put a lying spirit in the mouths of all your prophets. For the Lord has pronounced your doom."

See how the fire from heaven came down and destroyed the first two groups. But now please spare my life!"
