"Come, let's return to the LORD. For He has torn us, but He will heal us; He has wounded us, but He will bandage us.
Hosea 6:1
Come, and let us return unto the Lord : for he hath torn, and he will heal us; he hath smitten, and he will bind us up.
"He will revive us after two days; He will raise us up on the third day, That we may live before Him.
Hosea 6:2
After two days will he revive us: in the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight.
"So let's learn, let's press on to know the LORD. His appearance is as sure as the dawn; And He will come to us like the rain, As the spring rain waters the earth."
Hosea 6:3
Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the Lord : his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth.
What shall I do with you, Ephraim? What shall I do with you, Judah? For your loyalty is like a morning cloud, And like the dew which goes away early.
Hosea 6:4
O Ephraim, what shall I do unto thee? O Judah, what shall I do unto thee? for your goodness is as a morning cloud, and as the early dew it goeth away.
Therefore I have cut them in pieces by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of My mouth; And the judgments on you are like the light that shines.
Hosea 6:5
Therefore have I hewed them by the prophets; I have slain them by the words of my mouth: and thy judgments are as the light that goeth forth.
For I desire loyalty rather than sacrifice, And the knowledge of God rather than burnt offerings.
Hosea 6:6
For I desired mercy, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt offerings.
But like Adam they have violated the covenant; There they have dealt treacherously with Me.
Hosea 6:7
But they like men have transgressed the covenant: there have they dealt treacherously against me.
Gilead is a city of wrongdoers, Tracked with bloody footprints.
Hosea 6:8
Gilead is a city of them that work iniquity, and is polluted with blood.
And as a band of robbers lie in wait for a person, So a band of priests murder on the way to Shechem; Certainly they have committed an act of infamy.
Hosea 6:9
And as troops of robbers wait for a man, so the company of priests murder in the way by consent: for they commit lewdness.
In the house of Israel I have seen a horrible thing; Ephraim's infidelity is there, Israel has defiled itself.
Hosea 6:10
I have seen an horrible thing in the house of Israel: there is the whoredom of Ephraim, Israel is defiled.
Also, Judah, there is a harvest appointed for you, When I restore the fortunes of My people.
Hosea 6:11
Also, O Judah, he hath set an harvest for thee, when I returned the captivity of my people.
