Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!
Psalms 146:1
My soul, praise the Lord.
While I live I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises to my God while I have my being.
Psalms 146:2
While I live will I praise the Lord: I will sing praises to my God as long as I exist.
Do not put your trust in princes, Nor in a son of man, in whom there is no help.
Psalms 146:3
Trust not in princes, nor in the children of men, in whom there is no safety.
His spirit departs, he returns to his earth; In that very day his plans perish.
Psalms 146:4
His breath shall go forth, and he shall return to his earth; in that day all his thoughts shall perish.
Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, Whose hope is in the LORD his God,
Psalms 146:5
Blessed is he whose helper is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the Lord his God:
Who made heaven and earth, The sea, and all that is in them; Who keeps truth forever,
Psalms 146:6
who made heaven, and earth, the sea, and all things in them: who keeps truth for ever:
Who executes justice for the oppressed, Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners.
Psalms 146:7
who executes judgment for the wronged: who gives food to the hungry. The Lord looses the fettered ones:
The LORD opens the eyes of the blind; The LORD raises those who are bowed down; The LORD loves the righteous.
Psalms 146:8
the Lord gives wisdom to the blind:
The LORD watches over the strangers; He relieves the fatherless and widow; But the way of the wicked He turns upside down.
Psalms 146:9
he will relieve the orphan and widow: but will utterly remove the way of sinners.
The LORD shall reign forever-- Your God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!
Psalms 146:10
The Lord shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Sion, to all generations.
