Acts 4:23-31">[xr] Why do the nations rage, And the people plot a vain thing?
Psalms 2:1
Wherefore did the heathen rage, and the nations imagine vain things?
The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against the LORD and against His Anointed, saying,
Psalms 2:2
The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers gathered themselves together, against the Lord, and against his Christ;
"Let us break Their bonds in pieces And cast away Their cords from us."
Psalms 2:3
saying, Let us break through their bonds, and cast away their yoke from us.
He who sits in the heavens shall laugh; The LORD shall hold them in derision.
Psalms 2:4
He that dwells in the heavens shall laugh them to scorn, and the Lord shall mock them.
Then He shall speak to them in His wrath, And distress them in His deep displeasure:
Psalms 2:5
Then shall he speak to them in his anger, and trouble them in his fury.
"Yet I have set My King On My holy hill of Zion."
Psalms 2:6
But I have been made king by him on Sion his holy mountain,
"I will declare the decree: The LORD has said to Me, "You are My Son, Today I have begotten You.

declaring the ordinance of the Lord: the Lord said to me, Thou art my Son, to-day have I begotten thee.
Ask of Me, and I will give You The nations for Your inheritance, And the ends of the earth for Your possession.
Psalms 2:8
Ask of me, and I will give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the ends of the earth for thy possession.
You shall break Revelation 2:27).">[fn] them with a rod of iron;You shall dash them to pieces like a potter's vessel.' "
Psalms 2:9
Thou shalt rule them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces as a potter’s vessel.
Now therefore, be wise, O kings; Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Psalms 2:10
Now therefore understand, ye kings: be instructed, all ye that judge the earth.
Serve the LORD with fear, And rejoice with trembling.
Psalms 2:11
Serve the Lord with fear, and rejoice in him with trembling.
12 Kiss the Son, [fn] lest He [fn] be angry,And you perish in the way,When His wrath is kindled but a little.Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.
Psalms 2:12
Accept correction, lest at any time the Lord be angry, and ye should perish from the righteous way: whensoever his wrath shall be suddenly kindled, blessed are all they that trust in him.
