God blessed them and said, "Have many children and grow in number. Fill the earth and be its master. Rule over the fish in the sea and over the birds in the sky and over every living thing that moves on the earth."
From the ground God formed every wild animal and every bird in the sky, and he brought them to the man so the man could name them. Whatever the man called each living thing, that became its name.
But you must not eat meat that still has blood in it, because blood gives life.
Then God said to Noah and his sons,
Noah became a farmer and planted a vineyard.
Ham, the father of Canaan, looked at his naked father and told his brothers outside.
Then Shem and Japheth got a coat and, carrying it on both their shoulders, they walked backwards into the tent and covered their father. They turned their faces away so that they did not see their father's nakedness.
Then Jacob and his sons left there. But God caused the people in the nearby cities to be afraid, so they did not follow them.
I will give peace to your country; you will lie down in peace, and no one will make you afraid. I will keep harmful animals out of your country, and armies will not pass through it.
I will send wild animals to attack you, and they will take your children away from you and destroy your cattle. They will make you so few in number the roads will be empty.
Gill's Notes on the Bible
And after six days,.... Six days after this discourse with his disciples, in their way to Caesarea Philippi, and after they were come into those parts:
Jesus taketh with him Peter, James, and John; favourite disciples, and a sufficient number, to be witnesses of his transfiguration:
and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves; where he and they were alone. This was not Mount Tabor, as is generally said, but either the mountain which Caesarea was at the foot of, or it may be Mount Lebanon; :-;
and he was transfigured before them; the above three disciples;

Barnes' Notes on the Bible
And after six days ... - See this passage explained in the notes at Matthew 17:1-9.
Mark 9:3
No fuller - Rather, no “scourer.” The office of the person here mentioned was to “scour” or “whiten” cloth; not to “full” it, or to render it thicker.
Mark 9:6
He wist not - He “knew not.” He was desirous of saying something, and he knew not what would be proper.

A high mountain — I have conjectured, Matthew 17:1, that this was one of the mountains of Galilee: some say Hermon, some Tabor but Dr. Lightfoot thinks a mountain near Cesarea Philippi to be more likely.
Was transfigured — Four good MSS. and Origen add here, AND WHILE THEY WERE PRAYING he was transfigured but this appears to be added from Luke 9:29.
