Vystoupili tedy do Baal-perasímu a tam je David pobil. David prohlásil: "Bůh jako prudké vody prolomil mým prostřednictvím řady mých nepřátel." Proto pojmenovali to místo Baal-perasím (to je Pán průlomu).
