For Aram, along with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has plotted harm against you. They say,
Because Aram, Efrayim, and the son of Remalyahu, have purposed evil against you, saying,
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
Because Syria, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has devised evil against you, saying,
'Because Aram, with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah, has planned evil against you, saying,
They have made plans against you, saying,
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have purposed evil against you, saying,
Because Aram hath taken wicked counsell against thee, and Ephraim, and Remaliahs sonne, saying,

Syria, together with Israel and its king, has made a plot.

And as for the son of Aram, and the son of Romelias, forasmuch as they have devised an evil counsel, saying,
Because Syria hath counselled evil against thee, Ephraim also, and the son of Remaliah, saying,
For Sirie, and Effraym, and the sone of Romelie, han bigunne yuel councel ayens thee, and seien, Stie we to Juda,
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have purposed evil against you, saying,
Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah, have taken evil counsel against thee, saying,
Syria has plotted with Ephraim and the son of Remaliah to bring about your demise.

So Noah did this; according to all that God commanded him, that is what he did.

Because Syria, Ephraim, and the son of Remaliah,.... Not that there were three parties in the counsel and confederacy against Judah, only two, the kingdoms of Syria and Ephraim, or Israel; the king of the former is not mentioned at all, and the latter only as if he was the son of a private person, which is purposely done by way of contempt:
have taken evil counsel against thee: which is expressed in the next verse;
saying; as follows.

Verse Isaiah 7:5. Because - Remaliah — All these words are omitted by one MS. and the Syriac; a part of them also by the Septuagint.
