The prophet Hananiah then took the yoke bar from the neck of the prophet Jeremiah and broke it.
Then Hananyah the prophet took the bar from off the prophet Yirmeyahu's neck, and broke it.
Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck, and brake it.
Then the prophet Hananiah took the yoke-bars from the neck of Jeremiah the prophet and broke them.

At that, Hananiah grabbed the yoke from Jeremiah's shoulders and smashed it. And then he addressed the people: "This is God 's Message: In just this way I will smash the yoke of the king of Babylon and get him off the neck of all the nations—and within two years." Jeremiah walked out.

Then Hananiah the prophet took the yoke from off the prophet Jeremiah's neck,.... Which he wore as a symbol of the subjection of Judea, and other nations, to the king of Babylon: an impudent and insolent action this was, to take the prophet's yoke from his neck; and the more so, as it was by the command of God that he made it, and wore it:
and brake it; being made of wood, as it afterwards appears, and so might easily be broken.
