The judges are to make a careful investigation, and if the witness turns out to be a liar who has falsely accused his brother,
and the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness is a false witness, and has testified falsely against his brother;
And the judges shall make diligent inquisition: and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;
Then judges shall make a thorough inquiry, and if it turns out that the witness is a false witness and he testified falsely against his brother,

The judges must check the matter carefully. The witness who is a liar, lying about a fellow Israelite,
The judges will thoroughly investigate the matter, and if the witness should prove to be false and to have given false testimony against the accused,
"The judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is a false witness, and he has accused his brother falsely,

And the Iudges shall make diligent inquisition: and if the witnesse be found false, and hath giuen false witnes against his brother,

The judges are to investigate carefully. If they find that the witness is lying and has given false testimony against his brother,
and the judges shall make thorough inquiry; and if the witness be a false witness, and he have testified falsely against his brother,
When the judges carefully ask their questions, they might find that the witness lied against the other person. If the witnesses tell lies,
And the judges shall investigate the case diligently; and, behold, if the witness has deliberately testified falsely against his brother;
And the judges shall carefully investigate and, behold, if the witness is a false witness, and he has testified falsely against his brother,
And the iudges shall make diligent inquisicion: & yf the witnesse be founde false, and hath geue false witnesse agaynst his brother,

And the judges will have the question looked into with care: and if the witness is seen to be false and to have made a false statement against his brother,
And the iudges shall make diligent inquisition: and if the witnesse be founde false, and that he hath geuen false witnesse agaynst his brother:
And the judges shall inquire diligently; and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother;

The judges shall investigate thoroughly, and if the witness is proven to be a liar who has falsely accused his brother,

The judges must investigate the case thoroughly. If the accuser has brought false charges against his fellow Israelite,
The judges will choose careful questions to ask about the problem. If the man lied who said his brother is guilty,
and the judges shall make a thorough inquiry. If the witness is a false witness, having testified falsely against another,
and the judges shall make diligent inquisition, - and lo! if the witness be, a false witness and, falsely, have answered against his brother,
And when after most diligent inquisition, they shall find that the false witness hath told a lie against his brother:
the judges shall inquire diligently, and if the witness is a false witness and has accused his brother falsely,

And the judges shall make diligent inquisition,.... Into the case before them, into the nature of the evidence and proof that each witness brings for or against; so the Targum of Jonathan,
"the judges shall interrogate the witness, by whom these things are said, well;''
shall thoroughly examine the testimony given, and look carefully into it:
and, behold, if the witness be a false witness, and hath testified falsely against his brother; it appears plainly by full evidence that he has testified a falsehood of him.
