¹⁴ Of the Levites: Shemayah the son of Hashshuv, the son of `Azrikam, the son of Hashavyah, of the sons of Merari; <sup>15</sup> and Bakbakkar, Heresh, and Galal, and Mattanyah the son of Mikha, the son of Zikhri, the son of Asaf, <sup>16</sup> and `Ovadyah the son of Shemayah, the son of Galal, the son of Yedutun, and Berekhyah the son of Asa, the son of Elkana, who lived in the villages of the Netofati. ¹⁷ The porters: Shallum, and `Akkuv, and Talmon, and Achiman, and their brothers (Shallum was the chief), <sup>18</sup> who hitherto [waited] in the king's gate eastward: they were the porters for the camp of the children of Levi. <sup>19</sup> Shallum the son of Kore, the son of Avi'asaf, the son of Korach, and his brothers, of his father's house, the Korchi, were over the work of the service, keepers of the thresholds of the tent: and their fathers had been over the camp of the LORD, keepers of the entry. <sup>20</sup> Pinechas the son of El`azar was ruler over them in time past, [and] the LORD was with him. ²¹ Zekharyah the son of Meshelemyah was porter of the door of the tent of meeting. ²² All these who were chosen to be porters in the thresholds were two hundred and twelve.
